The 2,564 seat auditorium is available to rent for performances, benefit concerts, recitals, corporate meetings, civic gatherings, and community programs.
Theatre Base Rental
$3,500 vs. 10% of the gross (greater there of)
· Non-profit organizations may be eligible for a 10% discount on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays.
· Non-profit organizations may be eligible for a 5% discount on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday’s.
· Flat rates are available for graduations and other special events.
To qualify for nonprofit rates, an organization must provide copy of its Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) Letter.
Labor - All stagehands and/or wardrobe labor requirements must be scheduled with George Tivvis, Technical Director and Head Carpenter. The minimum stage crew requirement is five (5) persons consisting of a Head Carpenter, Master Electrician, Head Sound Engineer, Head Property-master, and Head Flyman. Also, labor for the front of the house, including ushers, ticket takers, maintenance and security must be scheduled with the Operations Manager.
Box Office Fees
· Restoration Charge - $3.00 per ticket sold

· Credit Card Transaction Fee – 5%
· Group Sales provided by the Lyric – 10% of Group Sales
· Amusement Tax (when applicable) – 10%
Box Office Hours – 10 am-4 pm Monday thru Friday
On performance days, the box office will typically open a minimum of two hours prior to performance time and remain open one hour past scheduled curtain.
· Consignment Tickets
R Rental customers are allowed to sign-out consignment tickets for their event to be distributed through outside sources. The amount of consignment tickets available for a given event is at the sole decision of the facility and if returned to the box office prior to an event, must be returned to the computerized ticketing system for sale.
10 days prior to the performance date, ticket revenues held by The Lyric are not at least 100% of the total rental costs, estimated technical labor, and other costs, the lessee must submit the balance. If lessee is unable to make these payments (certified or cash), the event may be cancelled and ticket buyers reimbursed.
Lessee is required, at their expense, to provide a policy of General Commercial Liability and Property Damage Insurance, and Worker’s Compensation and Employer’s Liability in the amount of $1,000,000.00 (per occurrence) naming The Lyric Foundation, Lyric Productions, LLC, The Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric, The Lyric Opera Foundation and their affiliates, and their respective principals and employees as co-insureds.
The Modell PAC at the Lyric does not have a policy for protection regarding booking of similar acts with a similar audience in any given time frame.
Holds will be placed for identified events provided there is not already an executed lease agreement in place for that date in consultation with the Executive Director. A hold confirmation will be forwarded to you and your hold will be held for 45 calendar days following the date the hold was first placed. Multiple holds for the same date will be entered in the order received. If more than a single prospective user is holding a date for the same event, the date will be awarded to the user authorized to present the program. Performances presented by the Modell Lyric may supersede holds.
At any time, a first hold might be challenged. Up to two business days will be given to each prior hold to provide opportunity to present a non-refundable deposit and signed lease agreement or relinquish the date. If holds are relinquished, the challenger must immediately present a non-refundable deposit and signed lease agreement. The Modell Lyric is a first-come, first booked facility upon payment of appropriate fees. The Lyric does not have a policy for protection regarding booking of similar acts in any given time frame.

The Lyric can negotiate rates on print, radio, and television advertising.
Press releases, calendar listings and email blasts to local media can be completed on your behalf.
The Lyric can provide graphic design for postcards, playbills, posters, and flyers.
